Step into a gentler Christmas with the 1940s Christmas Yarn Advent Calendar. Each day of December, reveal a skein of hand-dyed yarn inspired by the quiet resilience, handmade warmth, and simple beauty of Christmases on the home front.

Drawing from a 1940s winter palette, this advent features soft neutrals, warm greys, khaki tones, with thoughtful accents of cranberry red and evergreen. Evoking handwritten letters, mended wool, candlelit evenings, and carefully cherished decorations, these yarns are designed to feel wearable, timeless, and deeply comforting. This is a celebration of slowing down, making do with care, and finding joy in the smallest, most meaningful moments of the season.

In true Elderflower Stitches fashion, the colourways will be a pastel interpretation, drawing inspiration from the bright, bold colours without being too saturated! It is designed to work in a fade from 1 to 24, perfect for advent knitting.

Here are the options:

· Yarn base:

Supersock - a super smooth, high twist 4 ply 85m/20g, 75% superwash merino 25% nylon

Sparkle Sock - a plump sock yarn with a beautiful sparkle, 80m/20g, 75% superwash merion, 20% nylon, 5% stellina

Super DK - a super smooth, high twist DK yarn 45m/20g 75% superwash merino 25% nylon.

· Optional extras: Christmas Day full skein, or Project Bag or both

If paying by instalment, depending on which option you choose, you will need to make a total of 8 or 4 payments of the same amount.

Shipping won’t be included in your payment/s and will be calculated once your advent is ready to ship. This is because shipping costs fluctuate, and I don’t want to over or under charge. Advents will be shipped in plenty of time for December 1st. Internationals will ship first beginning in late August. Delivery options will be shared with you once your advent is ready to ship and you will be able to choose from 2nd Class or 1st Signed For in the UK or International Standard or Tracked/Signed For internationally. 

Refunds cannot be given. Once your payment has been made, I will order yarn, fabric and supplies for your advent calendar and therefore a refund is not possible.
