Yarn Advent 2024: A Victorian Christmas

I am so excited to bring you the 2024 Elderflower Stitches Yarn Advent Calendar. Last year was my busiest year of advents so far, which tells me the love and appreciation for advents is growing! So this year I have decided to release 2 different advents, each with a different theme, fabric and palette.

The theme for this advent is A Victorian Christmas which is inspired a traditional and features a vintage palette of dusty rose and ballgown blue with a little touch of pale evergreen. This advent will be mostly semi-solids and tonals, with some variegated and speckled minis and will work as a fade from 1-24.

All photos are of previous year’s advent and this year’s palette to give an idea of the packaging styles and what’s included. All yarn colourways, progress keepers and stitch markers will be new for this year’s advent.

Each advent calendar will include 24 individually labelled and wrapped 20g mini skeins, with some lovely goodies sprinkled throughout, including progress keepers and stitch markers.

In true Elderflower Stitches fashion, this yarn advent calendar will be filled with gentle, delicate pastel shades. It is designed to work in a subtle fade from 1 to 24, perfect for advent knitting. You can also add a full skein for Christmas Day and have the option to add one of my signature rectangular-based project bags in a beautiful Liberty print.

Here are the options:

· Yarn base:

Supersock - a super smooth, high twist 4 ply 85m/20g, 75% superwash merino 25% nylon

Sparkle Sock - a plump sock yarn with a beautiful sparkle, 80m/20g, 75% superwash merion, 20% nylon, 5% stellina

Super DK - a super smooth, high twist DK yarn 45m/20g 75% superwash merino 25% nylon.

· Optional extras: Christmas Day full skein, or Project Bag or both

If paying by instalment, depending on which option you choose, you will need to make a total of 8 or 4 payments of the same amount.
Shipping won’t be included in your payment/s and will be calculated once your advent is ready to ship. This is because shipping costs fluctuate, and I don’t want to over or under charge. Advents will be shipped in plenty of time for December 1st. Internationals will ship first beginning in late August. Delivery options will be shared with you once your advent is ready to ship and you will be able to choose from 2nd Class or 1st Signed For in the UK or International Standard or Tracked/Signed For internationally.
